My legs are in bits, I only just managed to get home in an hour last night, even with a tailwind.
Anyone else noticed how many more calories your body needs when fighting head winds all week?

Yup, even on a bike with gears, and it's doing my weight -loss plan no end of good ;)

Needless to say, Mrs. Jeez had no idea what I was going on about and replied.."what, you mean you walked"

Did you use this as an opportunity to impress her with how you can literally stand on the saddle and defy the wind?

Even my thought processes slow down when that headwind hits, but I have to be honest and say that I get a decent tailwind now cycling home. I currently prefer cycling in the winter than I do in the summer so far. Once I've warmed up there's a lovely cool breeze keeping me comfortable and there's a decent wind behind me helping me pick up speed.

The only thing I don't like is that little wind demon who runs at me and hits me sideways with (what feels like) a big square of cardboard! He's scary! ;)

I got wetter on the way home than the way to work . Dirty great puddles 1or 2mm deep going kerb to kerb in some places, I think I managed to pass over the band of land which got a seriously heavy shower!

which way do you go each day?
