I read the article this morning and surmised that it was good PR stunt for Singapore Airlines. They have successfully got the message across in an amusing manner that they have double beds in 1st class.

Got double-booked so I was upgraded to 1st class!
Champers, smoked salmon, a bottle of Bailey's, the full works. Sitting opposite a real beauty, and the imagination and alcohol started to, er, work!
Couldn't find the men's/oiks' toilet so had to use to the gents' instead.
It was quite cosy, really!

Singapore, which is the first airline to start flying the A380, said the suites were not sound-proofed.

Evidently none of the Singapore Airlines execs have ever spent a night in a cheap Spanish hotel...

You realise the loos are hooked up by CCTV to the cockpit (pardon the expression) in order to stop terrorism etc? And that images are relayed to the powers that be, who then pass them on to all your friends, and supermarket checkout peeps?
