So who's your money on popping their cloggs in 2010?

Thatcher, Maggie; although son Mark could be a candidate given the number of shaves with death he has survived.

Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi? He only had 3 months to live we were told when he was released last year.

Nomination on grounds of fossil like old age or flagrant abuse of their body or continued risk taking.

Just a tad sinister.

I see Cyril Smith is still hanging on in there at 82 (years not stones). So much for keeping fit and eating well to live longer!

Actually I just googled him and found a recent picture. He seems to have slimmed down a lot.

We seem to have had a bit of a run on young gay men popping off recently (boyband bloke, designer bloke, daytime presenter bloke) so my money is on Ainsley Harriott as a long shot with good odds.

Looking through the list at the names and remembering them in the past, it makes you realise how little time we have on this planet.

A couple of years back, I went to the Dads Army 40th anniversary at Thetford, the night before I had watched an episode with my daughter, and when I got to Thetford the next day, it suddenly hit me how time is flying past. The night before, I had watched Colin Bean when he was young in his 40's, and there if front of me now in real life, in his 80's, talking to him, he had become old and in a wheelchair, it was all so sad at the time, and sadly he died last year.

Death Wish or List? Either way its got to be Thatcher.

Barnet,
I see Ronnie Biggs is second on the list, another one released on compassionate terms. He lives quite close to me now in a Barnet nursing home.

Except in the case of Maggie. It'll be street parties a-go-go when she carks it - a throwback to a time before UK society was driven into a state from which it has never recovered.

Agree, I'll be dancing in the streets as well.

Unfortunately her legacy will be with us long after she isn't, the social one even longer than the economic one.

Another on the web site list is Dennis Healey, lord of the eyebrows. Perhaps if the Labour Party had elected him leader after 1979 we might have been spared some of Thatcher's worst - who knows?

I find this thread a bit twisted.

Actually, I think I'd rather the mental old witch lived long enough to see the whole of 'society' repudiate the entire thatcherite ethos and for her to see her son banged up.

When I click on that link I get the following message:

The Websense category "Tasteless" is filtered.

I'm saved again, thank you Websenseless'

You have a "Tasteless" filter on your internet? Wow ... what's the point of having the internet if you can't look up something tasteless occasionally?

Although as it happens, the link was to quite an informative thread about Fignon. And you must have wanted to see it, otherwise why would you click the link?
