Same here - at least the grass banks, the flat bits are still being mowed. The wild stuff doesn't take long to pop-up this time of year!

Can I just say I am EXTREMELY glad they finally mowed along my Sustrans commute on Tuesday?? It was actually close to unrideable!

Also the amount of insects increases quickly. We seem to have quite a few different moths that have a life cycle around mature grass.

If our plans come to fruition, I'll post a picture next year of what we hope will encourage more insects and wildlife. This year is the prep work
