I agree. I spend enough time in a real wagon without clambering about on virtual ones.
Best of luck to those attempting this alcohol free feat, but I'll stick to beer.

I have enough trouble with a bike, let alone being on a wagon.

Lushketeers are not allowed to travel on wagons anyway. Happy New Year!

I drink a pint of Lime & Soda. It is gassy enough to make me feel like I am still drinking beer, has next to No calories and tastes OK.

Perhaps I should take this opportunity to admit to being a very heavy drinker.* ;):wahhey:

If I cut down the alcohol consumption will that help me loose a stone or two?

* Current consumption being a least one bottle of wine per week.

If you don't replace the alcohol calories with calories from something else - yes!

I also tend to drink too much alcohol. When I stop boozing and continue eating sensibly and exercising regularly I lose 1-2 pounds a week. I lost about 9 pounds in the first 6 weeks of 2009 like that. I'm finishing off the last of my Christmas/NY beer tonight and then I'll be trying to repeat that rate of weight loss.

PS I've just noticed that you only drink one bottle of wine a week. That isn't much so you might not notice much difference by cutting that out. A bottle a night would be a completely different matter!

Well, slightly off topic. I have cut out the crisps, (was eating at least two packets a week), and the cheese. Changed to skimmed milk in porridge, with no sugar. All very small changes, but should help, I think.

Half a bottle of Codeine Linctus, a slug of Starbucks Caramel syrup, ice, lemonade, a slice of cucumber, a slice of apple, half a strawberry, a slice of orange and a sprig of mint.

A good evening and a clear chest for the next week’s rides.

If you want to lose a 'stone or two' measure yourself in kilos Speicher - the number is larger, and a few here or there doesn't matter.

For the amount of wine you consume, maybe you need to measure yourself in litres.
