Heacham for me. The birdwatching on the South Beach is superb, better than some of the reserves. The town's nothing special, but it does have everything you need, including shops which stay open after 5

Heacham used to have 2 sweetshops, one in Lynn Road and another on the corner of High St, see they're both gone now & the pub is a Tesco Express

There's still two pubs and I think the Silver Sands is licensed too, plus there's a far fairer co-op supermarket on Station Road. Even a shop selling some bike spares but probably more for the workhorses people use around here, rather than much of what Fatbirds promotes.

I have a secret route for nipping back and forth across the border. Back in Norfolk on Friday for guitar school work and then I have a Cocker Spaniel to tidy up. Makes it worth the diesel money then. Shhhh
