Feel free to help yourselves to the bike tools that have discharged themselves from my seatpost bag this morning......bugger.

Bugger indeed.

I once found a whole pannier that had obviously dropped off someones bike. I checked for any i.d. but was just clothes and a few bikes bits. I couldn't take it so had to just leave it leaning against a wall.

Commiserations! This is one of the few things that worries me about having luggage on the back instead of the handlebars... but so far, either I've heard stuff fall or another traveller has alerted me (often HGV drivers in another lane).

Just this morning seen a pair of shoes left in the carpark at the top of Holme Moss. Instantly recognisable as Merrells, I think it was these...

Someone is going to be might ticked off when they get home and look in the boot for their shoes....

Chain tool, the top part(adaptor) for compressed air....I have the cylinder(I'm still carrying that for some reason!) just no adaptor if anyone has a spare...?
A small tube of wet chain lube, tyre levers...I'm sure there was something else but I can't remember.

Why would you take it? It's not yours.

^^^This and to hopefully find out who's it was seeing as it was local.
It could well have been stuffed full of cash, computers or other valuables and an you don't want to leave something like that lying around for a less honest person to find. If it had contained a phone then a quick call to the 'home' number or wait for the worried owner to ring his missing phone then owner and luggage could have easily been reunited :okay:

Ah yes. I apologise. It's just that I've been surprised before by people who think it's OK to take something that someone has dropped or forgotten. Those that say - If I don't do it someone else will.

Apologies again.
