Ahem. I'm guessing this isn't a huge ride. If I'm right, delete Gatwick and substitute Hall Towers for coffee, tea and sticky buns. Or mince pies. Or both. Soup is a possibility.

The downside to this is I'll have to clear up a bit.

And if this does go, I (or we) will ride down for the first half.

As a general note, I take it in the current temperatures, this ride wont go ahead due to ice(or Sectioning??)? Just its bloody freezing at night and the early hours right now... bbbbbbrrrrrrrrr!!!

Ess: Plenty of trains into LB from Brighton, either direct or into East Croydon & changing, but you'd miss out on the Groupsave goodness that way.

Davy: Yup, as I've already stated, if there's any risk of ice we're aborting. Touch wood it'll stay mild after it warms up a little in the rest of the week.

I now see there is a Sussex daytime ride on the 28th, which might be a little warmer (and less vulnerable to cancellation?)... am tempted to jump ship! hmmm...
