Just got back from five days in Mallorca and only wore keks on the travel to and from, but noticed several times since arriving home that my "nether region" seems much more comfortable even though I am now non-commando.

I have occasionally commuted only to find that I was forced into commando mode due to a miscalculation on the number of smalls sets I took into work at the weekend. However, I always feel so much better across the day!

To give it another slant on the pros or cons, if my wife ever whispers that she is ommando, it has a very positive effect on me, and I cycle to work commando every day, so...why is commando almost frowned upon by most blokes?

In the summer nearly always, unless wearing a suit or something formal.

In the winter less so, I don't know why.

I guess I'm just a fair weather commando

I've never gone commando outside of the house. When commuting I wear ordinary clothes including cotton boxers, when doing the longer rides, Sunday club rides/leisure rides, typically somewhere between 50 and 70 miles, I wear cycle clothes with bamboo sports trunks under unpadded shorts or unpadded tights.
It feels not right to be sans underwear in public.
