After reading about Dans nephew at a healthy nine pound odd I thought my cousins little boy is worthy of his own thread.

As per title he wasn't due until Feb but was born by Caesarian on Monday and barely tickled the scales at 1lb 12!

Both doing fine now after a shaky start - long may it continue.

One of my cousins had a baby very early too and even lighter IIRC, everything turned out just fine - 6 this year.

That's good to hear.

My Uncle says he's got a scrap of material for a nappy and a wooly hat that could easily double up as an egg cosy!

Wow, that's amazing. SO glad he's okay!!

The thread title, using while, meaning until, reminds me of a story in the press just after I moved up to Bradford from Royal Leamington Spa, where we use it to mean during.

A new caretaker (from dahn sarf) of a large house was instructed by the housekeeper not to "light the boiler while it was full".

The boiler house was demolished in the resulting explosion.

The one I heard was about a learner driver from London being told to "Wait while the traffic lights are green" and consequently driving off on red!
