Wanted to get out on bike today but son came over with some fire wood, and snow is forecast for the rest of the week

I like snow for a day,kids in the field outside on their sleighs ,the buzz of village life as most people don't bother moving from the village as it's got a hill,on every exit up to 12%,
I have no excuse not to go to work,got a 4x4 ,goes through every thing,but work gets effected as do supplies ,and then the filth of sludge,
Always happy when normality cones back.........

On the plus side, you've got firewood which means an open fire or a wood burner? Lots of walks in the snowy countryside and then curl up in front of the fire. Bliss.

Don't let cold weather put you off. I pedalled sixty miles to Darlington in these conditions. I arrived with a thick crust of ice on my beanie.
