Any parent who truly loved their children would want them to be happy and that can only happen if they have their mother. A truly selfish person with no regard for others.

if custody is with the mother and the father does NOT have legal custody then abduction is exactly what it is.PaulB said:I wouldn't call this a case of child abduction though. The kids have been taken because the father loves them and can't bear to be without them and none of us can know the background to it all. I'm sure no physical harm will come to them if he's taken them back for what he thinks will be a better life.

The man lived 200 yards from his wife and sons. He saw them whenever he wanted to, and they regularly stayed over. The boys were in a great school and had a good social circle. The father had a well-paid job.
The mother is a professional, kind, well-liked woman who is a good mother.
I can't see anthing to be sympathetic about.
You're serious? I hope not.
Someone snatches their kids away from their mother, their school, their friends, with no warning, no consideration to anyone but himself and no chance for goodbyes.
PaulB said:I am serious. You say "Someone snatches" the kids in order to maximise the impact of it all. "The father took his own kids", which is just as accurate but doesn't have the emotional fear-based impact, is a perfectly legitimate way to address the matter.
