Being - Sorry Mate I Did See You But Still Cut You Up

Cycling along a very quiet country lane, heard a van behind me, it went past and was indicating left, I hovered over the brake in case he did go left and not just indicating back into the left lane, bloke did in fact slowly turn into a driveway less than 10 metres after passing me.
I decided to make a point by carrying on and then slamming on the brakes at the last minute.
When I pulled away and got round the back of his van onto his offside - I was just going to carry on and put it down to him being a tosspot- the bloke shouted something at me about having a bit of patience. I looked back and he said "I was indicating, didn't you see?!" I said "I saw you overtake me and then cut across me, I don't think you needed to do that, you could have just waited!" He expostulated "WHAT?!" Then I just cycled off shaking my head which I hoped would annoy him more.

sorry shaking of the head is not good enough - luckiliy you have enough road sense to have predicted the actions of this idiot so live to tell the tell - take number plate down and report to police.
