In an online "discussion" where I've expressed a different opinion to the majority, I have just been called a "douche nozzle" and then likened to a "bicycle doormat"!!!!
Apparently I need educating in the real world and something about not teaching pigs to sing.
Hey ho.

Not nice. I'm sorry, no one should be called those things.

I don't even know what a douche nozzle is.

Cockwomble and nobber are my favourite insults!
I'd like to say I rose above it all, but I called him an arse
It was a post about a lady in America who is being ticketed "for cycling" after she made a complaint about drivers endangering her on the road.
The majority choose to support the cyclist. I suggested that you can't be arrested if you haven't done anything wrong. She is being ticketed because the police believe she is endangering other road users -and herself.
Apparently the cyclist is right to believe she is being endangered and the police are wrong to believe otherwise.
I also said that sharing the road doesn't mean cycling in the middle of the lane and generally being obstructive.
Apparently that made me as bad as a driver, also a douche nozzle, wanting to use a parking space that a cyclist chose to leave his bike in. DIsagreeing led to me being told to f off and a suggestion I buy a cycle door mat because I am one. :boxing:

It does make you bad, but not insult-worthy.

Yeah, not good.

Mind you, they are lame insults. seriously, "douche nozzle" is pretty nearly meaningless (except for the misogynist twinge that anything that goes near a vagina is disgusting - oh, except penises of course!) and "bicycle doormat' means literally nothing.

So, they are idiots, if that is any comfort.

Update: ah, well I disagree with what you wrote, but they are still idiots.

Am I reading this right? She went to the police to complain about bad driving, and they ticketed her?

Could you paste the text here? Maybe in a separate thread.
I don't have the link I'm afraid. It's a bit of an ongoing saga apparently.
I'm not siding with the police, and it does seem a bit odd, but I was objecting to the automatically siding with the cyclist.
And I definitely don't condone blocking parking spaces just because you don't like "gas guzzlers" -which is what I was really bashed for.
