About to go for a lunch time ride on the only sunny day for ages and you find you have a flat tyre.

10 minutes spent swapping out innertube (being careful to remove any offending items inside tyre)

thought I had found the issue.

Go out on bike and pssssttttttttt..... rapid deflation, another flat tyre

Tyres are Vittoria Rubinos and have done about 2000+ miles but.... I think there is some internal damage to the tyre with teeny bits of mesh/metal poking through in one spot - not good for an inner tube. What I thought was a thorn is in fact tyre. I think.

I find 2 or 3 back ups is a sweet spot

That would annoy me as well.

I would have to decide which of the other 5 bikes to take. Thats an even bigger problem that fixing a puncture.

Finding a flat tyre at home or getting a flat tyre close to home is better than getting one far from home. The puncture fairy was just toying with you!

Definately, it was lucky. Just annoyed I missed the nice weather
