Well, the boy has been pimped with a set of metallic purple bottle cages and been for his first test ride. Have to say I'm really impressed - feels really light, responsive and zippy, if slightly harsh, and for some reason a lot faster than my beloved mtb (didn't have a computer on, so that might have been an illusion) and even the stock saddle is surprisingly comfy! Test ride didn't include any proper hills, so not sure how much I'm going to struggle with the gearing, but we will see.... Only issue I've found is that I need a slightly longer stem... have emailed EBC, hoping they might swap it for me - we shall see!

Anyway, so far very happy! Had a tiny drink stop on the way and got talking to some people from Bolton Clarion CC - the guy had a custombuilt purple Bob Jackson, it was beautiful!!!!
