did a 47 mile ride today, which is on my upper limit... but on the last 10-15 miles, my feet were buzzing with numbness, as were my hands... so much so i could barely push my thumb shifters. (the rest of me was fine)

Normally when i do a 40ish miler, it involves a stop around the halfway mark for a spot of lunch, but today i pretty much rode non-stop.

feeling a bit of numbness in a toe isn't uncommon, but both feet and both hands is new to me... is it all down to not having a proper break halfway through, or am i getting bad circulation in my old middle age?

What tyres/pressures do you use?

(I get the same kind of problems if I pump my tyres up too hard.)

I had the same issue in my hands and feet after only a short distance. Check your bike/shoe fit to make sure there's no issues there. Check your tyres aren't pumped up too hard.

It could be so many things. I went back to docs and they tested my blood, I was folate deficient. The numbness has improved since I starting take folate supplements.

i was wondering if I'd tied my laces too tight... but that doesn't explain the hands going numb too.
