Numb toe

Cycled London to Paris a couple of weeks ago and my big toe is still numb. It didn't seem particularly uncomfortable during the ride but the numbness has persisted..
Presumably I have damaged a nerve in some way. Is it likely to go away given time or should I see someone about it, any experiences or thoughts?
