Not really.
Out tomorrow for NYD ride. Sort of my own statement of intent.
Why does not going to a pub for a drink make people miserable?CC seems to be full of miserable feckers....or maybe a thread like this self selects?
Out with friends to a nice pub for a few drinkies. Then back to ours for some bits and bobs to eat. Watch Jools, have a laugh, go to bed
thankfully people have stopped trying to coax me out on NYE these days... when they did and i declined, they used to look at me as if i was mad... almost as if my following year is guaranteed to be really bad because numerous drunkards didn't say 'happy new year' at the stroke of midnight. No, it's just a meaningless change of date. I don't much like the one night of insincere drunken bonhomie either. People should just be genuinely nicer to each other all year round.
Ten years ago I used to think that anyone who doesn't celebrate NYE was a miserable fecker... these days I am that miserable fecker. I think the novelty has just worn off... once it was loads of good friends having a great celebration, now all i see is a bunch of idiots getting over excited about nothingCC seems to be full of miserable feckers....or maybe a thread like this self selects?
