O2 payg mms not working - settings?

Can anyone help sort this problem please?

Mrs B is on O2 payg. Her Nokia phone has mms capability, but it won't send or receive mms - it keeps saying 'subscribe to packet data first'. I've rung O2 and they said they can't send us the settings to use - it's a Nokia problem. I find this hard to believe - I've tried the Nokia site, but I get the impression they are going to tell me its an O2 issue!

Has anyone with a Nokia phone on 02 payg got any idea how to enable this facility? What's brought it to a head is we've just had a birth in the family and we can't get to see the mms pics the parents are sending out.

No thats rubbish.

I'm with Orange payg and all I had to do was call them up, the very helpful agent told me exactly what settings were required.

Call them up and give it another go. Although its only payg they may still care if you threaten to move supplier.

edit: My phone is a Nokia too.

I did wonder if this was the case. I'm wondering if an O2 shop might be of more help?

It's an O2 issue. I never got MMS working on my nokia for the same reason, couldn't be arsed with the faffing and dealing with them.

Thanks Phil - I gave the settings a go, but there seems to be more info there than the phone has user-configurable setting options for. Couldn't get it to work.

Marinyork - I'm going back to O2 with a request that they sort it. If they can't, Mrs B's said she is happy to move network to someone that can.

Found this site -> https://www.configuremyphone.com/index.html from reading the FAQ's it seems they charge £1.00 plus sms cost and they have a refund policy if it doesnt work.

Maybe worth a try if nothing else works.
