It's a bit more complicated than that...
I think it's just the frequency of mains electricity (50Hz).
Which in conventional terms (A=440Hz) is more like a sixth of a tone above a G, so it's quite a sharp G. And as any expert on power delivery will probably tell you, the actual frequency delievered will vary a bit, so the shaver (and any other implement which uses AC to deliver vibrations) will sing in different pitches.
