Moles have been timed at 9mph when negotiating their tunnels.
They have kitchens, as well, in tunnel chambers. They eat mostly earthworms, and keep them alive and immobile by biting their heads, and then store them in the chamber. As many as 470 worms have been recorded in one chamber, according to the Mammal Society.
 
Christmas tree light bulbs are designed to fail randomly, ensuring that the owner has a fun-filled evening tracking down the faulty bulb in the string.

The Yamaha FJ1200 was the first vehicle to fail the DoT noise test because it wheelspan past both microphones. The test had to be revised after that.

The Christmas Tree was invented by (and named after) Mr Arthur H Christmas in November, 1879, as a novelty. He never anticipated that it would be adopted as a seasonal symbolic decoration.

It's not often spoken about, but one of his favoured perversions is still celebrated by the juxtaposition of the fairy and the tree.
