The pope sh*ts in the woods, and bears are catholic.

A true fact, the bloke with the actual official title 'Pope' isn't Catholic.

The actual one is the Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.

To bring it back on topic, the Church's Holy Water was the inspiration for a popular fizzy drink, and copyright laws meant the initials had to be incorporated into the cola name.

Holy water is in fact a form of moonshine favoured by priests and often brewed in church fonts.

It gets its name after the exclamation following the first takes when the peraon invariably exclaims, "Holy...", and then remembers they were in a church and can't say sheet, so then say, "...water!!!"

And thus Holy Water, often accompanied with a nudge and a wink, was thus named.

A campaign for the correct use of the written word is advocating a change of wording on some road signs.

The first example is the use of 'Road Works', when it is mainly used on occasions when the road clearly doesn't.

Despite what a certain chicken restaurant might have you think, Peri-Peri sauce was actually invented by celebrity siblings Matthew Perry (off of FRIENDS) and Suzy Perry (off of the MotoGP). They had to shorten the spelling of their names to fit both on the label.
