Thanks for the update Ian!

Sounds like yesterday was a crap journey for you Jonny! I hope the snow holds out for your journey home tonight! What DVD's did you watch?

I had an appointment with my osteopath last night. It's usually a 20 minute or so drive away, but after an hour and a half, and only 1 mile away, I had to admit defeat! The last road I needed was at a complete standstill!

So I popped into the nearest pub/restaurant, called a friend who lives nearby and had a lovely evening and dinner with her! Drove home once the roads had been gritted and cleared! Brilliant!

Oh great Sat Nav's have DVD players...seems like cars are now entertainment centres. No wonder there is a lot of crap driving out there.

Over last couple of weeks since i've been back from leave i have thought that maybe my bike was stolen at the right time.

But should be back on the commute for january, although i was expecting that to be worse than now.

!

"Syriana" and "Crash" (the 2007 one not the 1980's one)

It was a little surreal, watching Syriana, set almost entirely in a desert region ...baking in the heat while we all slipped about in the dark ice.

Dont worry, "Proper" DVD players (te type that come with the sat nav system from the car manufacturers) will only operate if the car is stationary (or rolling at 2mph)

Mine switches to a black screen at 3mph, so for about half the journey (the stationary 2.5 hours) I was watching, for the rest (the 4mph bit) I was listening...luckily the subtitled film was during the stationary bit, else I would have been a little confused...... as I dont speak Farsi.
