Off road routes in or around the East Midlands

I'm looking for more off road cycling routes for my wife and I.

We currently use the Brampton Valley in Northamptonshire, the river soar in Leicestershire (although my wife isn't keen on tow paths), Sherwood Pines in Nottinghamshire and Rutland Water.

Does anyone know of any other routes around the East Midlands.

Salcey Forest. Not technically very challenging, but a pleasant ride with some good connecting bridle ways.

Cloud trail(NCN6 Worthington-Can ride all the way to Derby city centre off road but you will cross maybe 5 roads).If you want miles,and willing to do some very remote lanes,start at Loughborough going through Garendon.
