Yep, my usual spot to go for a quick ride. On the edges. Where the extension car park is theres a dog walking path that goes up to the bridge that goes over the canal, Just before the bridge is where I was off. Id ridden from bloxwich down into Walsall past the college, in through the main gates, around the lake and then up to the path. Was very busy up there today.
Think a dog walker had told them where I was and they came got the bike. Not the first time they've done it for me  they did it last year when I decided that I would be a clever sod and ride down the steps near the bandstand next to the seating area.

Lower left leg break.

Bike is scratched to farkbuggery. Left hand grip missing. Left pedal buggereeed. considering two options - replace grip and pedal and keep bike as a back up bike + get a nicer bike or Start "upgrading" it as I make repairs.
Yes i know the route well, i think you should leave that riding down the steps stuff to Danny MacAskill or you will end up in the bandstand!^_^ So you hurt your lower leg..did they ask you in the hospital if you were wearing a helmet?

haven't ridden down the steps since although I do like to try hopping on and off those little rock things at the side of the path all the way around the lake.

get well soon dude .
i had a near miss on gravel a week ago , i went round a sharp corner with a new coat of that bloody awful gravel they put down braked hard ,nearly lost the bike but stayed up and just skidded across the into a hedge just missing an oncoming car coming around the corner by inches . very scary stuff . gave the poor driver a fright by the look on his face . cycled away with just a few cut from thorns .
again dude get well soon

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes, GWS and if you don't get offered physio speak to your GP about it. It helps in the long run. Oh and welcome to the CC Sick list! It is rather lengthy...
Stay safe, SNSSO

Went for a ride earlier today, was aiming to make it a 30 miler.
Five miles in, took a corner too fast on loose gravel and off I went.
Broken left leg so no cycling for a while.
Still no news on how the bike is - Girlfriend has gone to pick it up from the lovely park rangers who took it away to their "hut" in the back of their little buggy thing until it could be collected.
Hope its not scratched/damaged badly.
Next time ill slow down on loose gravel
Sorry to read this. Hope you heal soon
