Well, Im back now.
Leg healing well and cast is off.
Gave my brother my hybrid and got a cheap MTB to try out. If I like the whole MTB thing ill be looking for a even better one soon

Heres the new bike.
Nothing special but has the two things I was looking for, disc brakes and a 1 1/8 fork steerer. Ive only been able to do a short ride on it so far and all seems well. Didn't want to go mad spending too much on a bike only to find I don't like the whole mountain biking thing. If I like it I can swap all the componenets off this onto a Raleigh frame ive been saving to build into my winter bike and I can buy a better bike for the off road stuff. If I don't like it, its cost next to nothing and I can sell the bike on for what it cost or just dump it on my brother
