I've taken my Son & Daughter to lots of gigs when they were in their teens. Taking my Daughter to an E17 concert was torture, but the one that really traumatized me was taking my Son to see SlipKnot.

Been to see Slipknot with my eldest... Took #3 to see Take That on Tues... #2 would rather go birdwatching!

You must be a very brave Lady to see Slipknot, mind you I thought the best bit was when the drummer did his solo and his stage spun 360 degrees, very clever...I agree birdwatching is preferable !

I want as a family unit to see Meat Loaf

I would love to see him live

 It was me who introduced my son to Slipknot! I'm one of those rare mothers who tells their children to turn their music up!!

As a familiy unit we saw The Who and Flaming Lips at Harewood House several years ago.

I'll be going to Leeds Festival on the Friday with younger son. Daughter will be spending the entire weekend there and will be attempting to avoid her father, brother and embarrassment

My offspring aren't attracted to my type of festival which gives me considerable leeway on the behaviour front

Took my young un to see Paramore at Sheffield arena for her 11th birthday last november. Was her first gig and we both had a great time. Im too old to be fancying pop/rock stars but will happily make an exception for Hayley Williams.

never heard of slipknot so cant comment

we came out unscathed but slightly damp , other acts appearing with JLS were Alexis Jordan and essex boy Olly Murs .

worst part was £3.50 for smallest portion of chips ever !!!
