You have to take into account my workplace times every individual element of the job down to how long it takes to walk let alone perform the task to the second and calculates manpower needed based on planned production targets .

Down to the second? At Toymota it was to the tenth of a second. And the takt time (the time between cars on your pitch) was taken as an average, so some variants were over-takt. And sometimes they ran the lines fast. Bah!

At my old place we had to fill in work sheets, thankfully the lady in the office had a sense of humour as she used to get 'worksheets' form some unusual characters: Theresa Green, Juan Hung Laou, and many others.

I strongly recommend Physio Putty. I was given some by the good people of the NHS a couple of years ago when I needed some wrist therapy ( calling @Fnaar). The green version is squidgy but firm and it oozes out through your fingers when you squeeze a lump of it. It's quite amazing stuff. You can mould it into shapes, like PlayDo, but it quickly reverts to a pool of green slime. Hours of fun.

Many years ago at a large but rural nick we used to wile away meslbreaks on nights with wacky races. We would select a wheeled item of choice from the found property store and ride it along the corridor past the traffic office where someone stood in the doorway with a speedgun to record performance. I managed just over 6 mph on a plastic tractor and trailer but the record was held by one of the traffic lads on a microscooter.

Reading this thread I'm glad I've never worked in an office, I try to not do stress, if I've failed in that then one of the best things is the feel of the saddle under my arse, the feel of the pedals under my feet and the view of the road home at the end of the shift.

One of the main reasons I cycle is to remove the stress of the office. It's great to get out of the office into my cycling gear and the pedals put me back in a happy place

Been both places, and your universe is the preferred one, @dave r .
