I have a story about someone meeting Loretta Swit.
In the late 80s I was working in New York when one of my colleagues (a lovely easy going guy) came back from lunch looking embarrassed and shell shocked. He told me: "I just saw Loretta Swit and - I don't know why - I went up to her and then realised I didn't know what to say so I said 'are you Loretta Swit?' she said 'yes'. I said 'hi' and walked away"

When it was originally broadcast in the UK, it didn't have that canned laughter. I saw that it was back on TV and I was going to rewatch it but I soon realised that I couldn't stand the canned laughter that had been dubbed on since!
