I was cycling between Port Glasgow and Greenock (amongst other places) yesterday, trying to follow the cycle path since I hadn't done it before.
Anyway, the path stopped at a particular point and I had to go onto the road, so I get onto the road in an industrial/dock area, and go to turn round a blind(ish) corner.

Imagine my utter panic as, on turning the corner, I see a Gold..... Rover I think, flying towards me with no space for me to get out of the way in time!!
Luckily the driver slowed down in time and seemed to know that it was a bad bit of road - you see, what I had turned onto was a VERY narrow road, and I at first thought that it was one way, but there were no signs anywhere saying so, so I assumed I hadn't done anything wrong.

Oh yes, and I was going along the cycle path at another point, and was busy thinking about something when I came to a sharp corner with a woman on a mobility scooter coming the other way.
So distracted was I that I was cycling on the wrong side of the path and had to take evasive action, complete with the woman looking totally appauled at me, which quite frankly, I didn't blame her for.

What a prize twat, eh?

I have to agree, but in our defence every road user makes mistakes sometimes and we have all done silly things, we just have to learn from it and move on. This time no harm done hopefully you won't make the same mistake twice. A good reminder to concentrate whilst riding. When we ride for a long time it's not unusual to think what we do is easy hence we multi task inappropiately. Fair play for owning up we've all done it. Perhaps remind us why we should cut some slack for the other guy when they do it to us.
Fair play for admitting you are not a perfect road user %100 of the time +1 on that. Perhaps prize twat is a little harsh perhaps human would be a better adjective.
