well done on your 1K post - I think you should take a seat and have a nice, fitlered, coffee. You know - the good stuff.

Thank you I will.

I deserve a coffee now, I have been out cutting the grass. I wonder how many more cuts it will need before the winter?

If it's dry and above 8 degrees the grass will still be growing, so once a week (depending on how particular you are ;)) will be fine.

A lot depends on if you use a rotary mower or a cyclinder one.

But don't cut it after the first frost has come.

Well, the better the quality the longer it'd take to write them, = more time on the forum. Less quality = shorter time on forum.

No, I understand. It was meant as an ironic self-deprecating comment.

Anyone can name a song and band, but not everyone can articulate themselves in a reasonable and intelligent manner. Especially in Politics and Life.

There again, there aren't too many who can articulate themselves in a reasonable and intelligent manner there, either!

Thanks Dayvo, I am extremely fussy about my grass:biggrin:

I do go out in the winter, even when the grass has more or less stopped growing, with the strimmer and tidy up the edges ;)

Better to use edging shears, in that case. It gives a better/neater finish, doesn't harm your ears, and there's a greater job-satisfaction factor. ;)

I cut the edges of 46 bunkers (at the golf course) with these edging shears! It takes time, but looks very good afterwards!
