Don't think even Landslide would eat the scratchings from one of these!?!

Well, pigs are generally hairy, anyway - proper treatment at slaughter should get rid of the hairs. But hair that's almost wool...! I want one!

I think the puns are a bit ham-fisted.

They were on farming today a bit ago, as I recall.

If I remember the clip correctly, these aren't truly Lincolnshire Curly Coats, they're German pigs that were bred from the Lincolnshire Pigs with German pigs to form another breed - they're being reintroduced here as the next best thing to the LCC breed, which is no longer extant.

Everyone's making a right pigs ear of these puns. Bacon the old days jokes were jokes and not these limp excuses that are trottered out. Nothing Porcine-al, you understand.

What do they taste like?

Apparently very good, and sought after for making Parma Ham..

John, you're quite right, they aren't true Lincs Curly Coats... Like the Norfolk Horn Sheep, the breed has only been 'recreated'....

Melvil - go and sit in the corner until you can behave....:biggrin:
