Oil stain help

What's the best thing to get chain oil off clothes? I've tried vanish but it's still there Anyone know of anything that works?

I've had pretty reasonable success with WD40 sprayed on and worked in, then repeat with neat Fairy Liquid.

Then a conventional wash to remove the above

Any waterproofing, colour etc. might be lost so maybe test a small area first.

Try Swarfega. Then wash it.

Or try a lot of IPA (isopropyl alcohol)

Or Jizer.

white spirit will get oil out. soak the stain only for a couple of minutes and then scrub a bit. then put in washing machine. the smell will disappear in about 24hrs.

I usw wd 40 as well, spray on and rub it in then wash normally with stain remover stuff does the trick for me .

Lots of these things take the oil stain out, but also take the colour out of the material, so you get left with a pale patch. Be careful!
