I've seen Neil young a couple of times in the past decade. I love Neil Young. His big plus point is that when you start out with a crap voice it doesn't get any worse!
Well said! It's almost as though you think "Oh Lordy, how's he going to get out of that tonal mess?".... and then he does.Saw him a couple of years ago with Crazy Horse. It was fantastic and he was in great voice. I don't agree that he can't sing. He has a very particular range and he pushes against it - in the same manner as his guitar playing. It's always on the edge of falling apart completely but usually stays just on this side of that thin line...
