Hi, a long term cyclist, only just come across this forum during a search for bikes for sale. Based up in the Lakes but Scots origin.
I was eyeing up the Focus Cayo that Monstadog has for sale but find I'm unable to post there or even pm him. Could any kind soul put him in touch with me please

Have been cycling for years now, when it was still pretty unfashionable. Had a pretty serious injury just over two years ago when I broke the neck of my femur after a heavy off(I thought it was a dead leg at the time)but recovered from that and did the C2C a year to the day after, which was going to be either a good omen or a death wish. Thankfully it was the former!

What part of the Lakes are you in? I love that part of the world.

Thanks Phil, South Lakes, away from the busy, touristy places but not too far away to enjoy them.
My cousin lives near Church Stretton in Shrops, nice part of the world as well.

That sounds like a good balance to me.

It is a nice place. Many of my favourite rides are around the Stretton area.

The first ride out I had on my best bike was in the Lakes, around Windermere predictably

Hawkshead Hill was fun I seem to recall, lung busting on the way up, adrenaline pumping going down the other side
