I've got loads of the damned things - obsolete now, from way back when, and never likely to be used again.
I also have a few sets of yellow and red jack-plug thingies; I have no idea of their provenance (digital cameras, maybe?) Never even been unwound.
For some reason, idiocy, misplaced ecological reasons (?) - I'm reluctant to just bin them.
Modern life, I suppose, means binning is the only thing to do with them, like cassette players, tapes, half-pint glasses...

Recycle them Rich.......or you could go to an old person's place, like Bournemouth and sell them to some willing punters wanting to buy state of the art 1990s stuff.
Is that possible, Rocky?

Our local council tip has a section for old electrical goods......(rather stupidly, perhaps) I was under the assumption that they stripped out the metal bits and anything else that could be reused before getting rid of the old plastic. Of, course they may just put them in landfill when I'm not looking.
Someone cleverer than us will be along shortly with a more definitive answer, Rocky.
I'm ruling out 3BM and MDB.

I think they melt them down for the precious metals in them. I'm told there's more gold, silver, platinum etc in a pile of old electronics than in ore fresh from the mines.

I have a drawer full of chargers, old phones, leads and plugs of every description. A rack full of videos with nothing to play them on and two suitcases full of cassettes, still got a player on the Hi Fi but it hasn't been used for years. Ditto LPs.

You haven't got a charger for this have you? None of mine seem to work ;)

There is a recycling place in my locality for electrical goods, anything from washing machines to ......well, to phone chargers.
I just drop things on the floor there and leave, no questions asked:smile:.
