Anyone know off-hand if the Fichtel & Sachs 515 Torpedo 3-speed hub with coaster (not the Duomatic) is compatible with SA 3-speed shifters?

I'm guessing not, but it would be handy if the cable pull was the same.

I've heard of people fitting SA triggers to Sachs hubs but I don't know how well they worked.

I've also heard of people fitting conventional downtube shifters to SA hubs and they worked OK. I can't see why the same set-up wouldn't work for a Sachs.

I searched Sheldon properly and bingo...apparently SA triggers can operate a Sachs but not the other way around, as the SA needs a longer cable pull, but the Sachs doesn't have an issue with the extra pull on the SA trigger. Which is good, I just want to change the rusted shifter on a bike I picked up..
