just been across to see mum & dad and whilst there mum gets an envelope out with all my old school reports in , and promptly starts reading them out to my 12yr old daughter who found them great fun to read !

i am sure they were not mine as i dont remember being called lapsidasical , large , lazy by the teachers !

Most of mine read “could do better”

We had homework diaries at my school - each day had a page to record homework and at the foot of each page was a small box for teachers comments. For me and a few friends they reprinted these dairies with a small box for recording homework and a large page for teacher comments.

Sadly my dad threw them all out.

I kept some of mine for a few years after I left school, but then I got rid of them.

I can still remember parts of them though, which is annoying.

My parents were never interested in my school reports, I kept them and still do, some are now over 30 years old.
We used to get an A to E for ability and 1 to 5 for effort, me getting an A4 was not unusual!
A lot said I was often a disruptive influence in class, oh well

Another 'could do better' here, as well.

Sport was the only thing I was particularly good/successful at, representing the school at most of the sports on offer.

If I have a gravestone, which I don't want, I'm sure it would have 'Should have done better' inscribed on it.

Bet mine are a real joy. I was statemented and all sorts as a kid. Managed to get expelled from primary school as well. They thought I was mad I was just a massive troll child.

My Dad first got called into school when I was 5, it went something like this.

Teacher, "Come on David, you need to learn how to catch better"
Me, "Well you can't catch"
Teacher, "Yes I can, throw the ball (bean bag) and I'll show you"
Me *grabs ball throws it over teachers head*
Me, "Catch that then"

The next 14 years of edjucation went much of the same.
