Oldest object in daily use in your home

This little beauty has caused more cries of woe in our home over the last 28 years than we could have dreamt when we bought it.

What do have in daily use in your home that is even older?

I have a chefs knife that my brothers bought me in 1983.

We have a wooden fruit bowl in daily use, it was a wedding present in 1973.

I use my great grandmother's washing dolly as a toilet roll holder... she died mid-fifties. No idea how long she'd been using it.

...and the sash windows and even the glass in them is as old as the house; built around 1900ish

Bone-handled knives from a canteen that came to my wife from an elderly aunt - not that old, but certainly some way north of 28 years.

A lemon juicer that used to be mi mum's, bought early 50s when they got married.

A couple of Cobblers' lasts, now doorstops from about 1940 that dad had from setting up his cobblers workshop in the 1930s

Mr WD. . Seriously I have a Singer201k electric sewing machine made in 1936 that is still going strong. Built like a tank it is 83 years old and will probably still be working perfectly in another 83 years. These machines just go on forever.

A 19th century coal scuttle used as a waste paper bin.

Good old Sheffield stainless steel cutlery; if my memory serves me correctly my parents bought it around 1967. I've been eating with it from the age of 5!

My banister, put there in 1929 - makes a good drying rack for cycle gear.

My colleague uses his Cross Trainer to hang his clothing on - we take the piss and call it his "CrossDresser"

Up until around 2000, we had a plastic cullinder in regular use, ex services issue perhaps, it had the crow foot mark on it, as well as 1958 on it. So it was around 42 years old when I finally started to crack up.
Havnt really got anything of age now...
