Great performance in The Favourite, deserving of an Oscar

Her acceptance speech was rubbish though. A bit of "oh, I wasn't expecting this, I'll have to wing it" is charming and amusing. But not the whole speech

I'd also never heard of her but the film looks excellent and it got 7.8/10 on IMDb so can't be bad. I'm always a sucker for a historical drama even though I know they've probably stretched the truth more than Gemma Collins knicker elastic to make it more marketable and interesting. The last one of the type I enjoyed was The King's Speech.
I'll search out a copy when the Nigerians get to copy it which I suspect they've done already.

I've not seen The Favourite, but she thoroughly deserves the accolade. She's incredibly good, and so diverse. Watch Tyrannosaur to see her at her absolute best.

Confetti. I wouldn't bother as it's awful. The makers lied to her about how much nudity was going to make the cut.

Despite Olivia and Paddy Consadine - both towering talents, I was put off by the awfullness of the subject matter. Not sure I can wstch it however well done - and the talent of both leads is clear

Hard going like, but an incredible film. I'd recommend Considine's other effort, Journeyman too. Sadly Olivia Colman isn't in it, but Jodie Whittaker is and she's also excellent.
