I was in the garage yesterday morning re-fitting a BB to my MTB, kids inside, wife out.

Hmm kids are being good....... - I'm still in the gargge when my wife gets back.

A minute or later, she says.."erm come and look at this......"

The 'youngest' cat - a long haired Tortie is in my son's room, being dried off by the kids - they'd only gone and bathed her...

On the plus side, they were sat there removing all the seed pods that had got stuck in her fur. They even 'blew dry' her.....

Talk about a tollerant cat...sheesh...... she didn't look massively happy. She's lovely and soft this morning though !

I don't think my moggy would go for that. Last week I got out the shower and she jumped straight in the bath to see what was occurring. There was a banshee scream and she left the bathroom in a single bound, and that was because she got her paws a bit damp.

Ma's cat sits in the sink waiting for the drips then swipes them kung fu style with a roundhouse swipe!
He also has a good go at drinking the drips every now and then.

Looking at the wet xats google search, its obvious why they dont like getting wet!! Ugly under all that fur lol.

My Mum had a persian cat, it used to have to get a bath every so often, for what looked a big cat with all the fur attached it looked like a skinny wee rat type thing when it was wet!

My last cat used to regularly fall into the bath when she was a kitten. For some reason she loved to lick the bar of soap, so she'd hop up on the side of the bath and wobble along the side towards the soap dish. Inevitably, she'd more often than not lose her footing and land in the water, immediately followed by the warhead-style sub-sea launch back out at incredible speed.

She never learned though. The lure of the wet soap was too much for her every time someone took a bath!

Our cat goes into the bath when we are out and we can't let her out for what she needs to do. Well it's better than cleaning it up off the carpet. She's a bit on the old side to learn about cat flaps now...........

That's a good cat, now teach it to do it down the loo..........

TBH if ours get caught short, they 'poop' near the place the cat tray is/or should be......on a ceramic floor...easy clean up.

Our kittens have both fallen foul to the allure of an open toilet - not so nice for them when they're being hosed off in the shower afterwards!

Our previous cat used to drink from the toilet...
