Oops - guilty as charged.

I've just checked my ally MacBook and it has a solid base, so sitting it on a cushion is probably less of a risk than with laptops which have vents in the base.

The vents on a Mac are between the two hinges, and the metal case acts as heatsink which should reduce the risk further.

Still worth keeping a close eye on the temperature.

I throw almost anything in my omelette, but cheese is a firm favourite.
The other night I used the last of my gammon scraps with cheese and it was yummy!

Mine are on the sides, but a cushion can still hinder ventilation and the cushion can hold heat and warm up too much. Seen it happen... The squaddie concerned was a touch more concerned about the direction the flames came at him mind you
