On a cliff (bike) hanger

So before my stem/fork debacle my flashy new eBay mech hanger arrived earlier. Did it look exactly like my old one? Yes. Did it fit. No chance. Here's what I'm up a against, any pointers would be great

To be fair what I ordered on ebay looked different to the listing, but still.

It's a Coyote mountain bike 'Indiana' so old Avocet have no records of it ever being made

Sorry I can't help but I feel your pain. They're similar but that's about it. Hangers can be and often are a nightmare. Too many different types. I hope someone on here can help. Good luck.

Looks like it might be time to get the Dremel out and put on the grinding wheel.

All the ones I have ever replaced have had a code number on the back ?

For anyone that this might help it's hanger 25. My LBS identified it and gave me the part number. Cost me 20 something, but ah well sometimes it's good to pay a bit extra and support your indy lbs
