Water skiing. Did it once, eventually stood up. Felt I'd mastered it so let go the rope to end my ride. They said "you nearly had it", but in my opinion I couldn't see the appeal of being dragged around a lake.

Bungee jumping: only did it because - ironically - I didn't want to. Well, not quite true, I didn't want to at first, but then I became afraid to do it. For some reason I felt I had to face that fear. Adrenal high took a few hours to kick in, but lasted several days.

I would sooner not dislocate a shoulder again, TBH.
It was a little ouchy.
By which I mean I screeched, cried, whimpered and quite possibly begged.
It was not my most heroic hour.

You got a like, but I can't stand surströmming. I lived in Sweden for 14 years and ate it twice. xx(xx(

The smell, IMO, is worse than the taste, but the smell is still terrible. There will not be a third time.

There was no mistaking the reason for that like.

I used to work for a Finnish company and went there often. They took a great delight in showing me the great delights of Nordic life. Ice swimming, vodka, snow rolling, vodka, sauna, vodka, and all that. Then came the surströmming. Even one of them vomited just from the smell.
