.... go after them drag them off the bike and knock their lights out.

Twice today RLJs nearly had me off one when I was doing 28mph. Hit the front brakes cue back wheel off the floor and violent shuddering as I tried to come to a halt. Scared me as I really don't want another off so soon after being mowed down last year.

I swear a lot of people leave their brains and common sense at home when they cycle.

I'm exactly the same; I don't pass any other cyclists on most days.

I must admit to having RLJ'd before at a crossing that had changed because someone had pressed the button then crossed before the light came on because the road was quiet. I know it's not a justification but it wasn't a traffic junction, nobody was crossing and I did slow down and was extremely cautious. In contrast, I was in London cycling last July and I saw no end of people RLJing, going up on pavements, across traffic etc. You take your life in your hands doing that kind of thing.

Unfortunately, they take other people's lives in their hands too.

Ofcourse if your going through a set of lights, shouldnt you do a quick check down the side roads to make sure that no-one in a car is jumping them, or people on bikes jumping them?
If im just powering through a set of lights i have a quick check, if the lights have gone green infront of me and im just moving off a check aswell.
If i had someone jump a red light on me and i saw them coming, my mouth would be shouting alot of abuse at them whilst i brake, and be very close to knocking them off their bike or at least having a go and stopping them for doing it.
I did nearly go after a guy who came up the left of me as i was about to turn right at a set of traffic lights. He was on a bike, and just came up my left even though i had signaled to go right. He gave me abit of absue when i told him not to do that.
I was very close to turning my bike around and taking him straight off his bike, but thought better of it.
I hate twats that just jump red lights, i dont mind if they jump aslong as they check its safe to do it. If they just go through slowly and not looking out for traffic then they deserve to be flattened.

I think RLJers should be jailed.;);)

It's true though, not so much a cyclist but I have seen many times cars go through reds and sometimes they are not concentrating or have just "missed" the lights there.

Tw*t in question I saw him about 150 yards away waiting with no cars this why I was 'powering' along. He saw me coming but still went across the junction. He got a full belted 'tosser' from as I passed.

Oh you showed him;)
Im not saying you should of done something to him, but riding past him and saying tosser in anger would just make me laugh, then probably try and annoy you more.
