Methinks the cyclist has the Mother-of-all-saddle-sores and wants to ease the pressure!

Sorry, I couldn't resist! Veering wildly off-topic, are you still happy with the Genesis, Ed? I'm still dithering between that, the On-One Pompetamine Versa, the On-One Alfine 11 flat-barred and a Roadrat with an Alfine.

Love it Mort - really nice comfy bike. The gearing, low end, is the same as my 34/50 compact with a 27 cog on the back, lose a little bit off the top end but that doesn't bother me too much, it's a few pounds heavier than I normally ride but once up to speed it bowls along nicely. I also think it's better looking than the more compact frames of the Pomp and the Roadrat. And it's orange.

The standard issue tyres are a bit of a squeeze if you want to fit mudguards, it does work but it's tight, I swapped them for Conti Top Contact 32s in the end, stuck a whole Brooks saddle on it too!
