Outstanding views. Did the Wiggle French Revolution course, it was a little hilly, nothing serious but jsut long drags made worse by almost 30mph winds  - not even southerly! But thoroughly enjoyed the day and route, would highly recommend it to anyone :-)

Going to plan another ride to Ypres in August :-)

Great thread, this is the information I was looking for. I am planning to do the odd day arriving in Calais then heading down the coast to Wimeraux area. Couple of questions I'll take the car over then park up somewhere like Sangatte? I am taking along a mate and his wife who have not had a passport before (they're both 60!) so I need to make a good impression.
Would it also be a better option to go from Calais to Dunkirk?
Any advice please feel free.
Thanks Ian

If you parked at Sangatte and then headed inland towards Wimeraux, it will be hilly. However there are some lovely quiet roads through really nice countryside. Heading back from Wimeraux, it is a nice coast road all the way back to Calais, with some great swooping downhills, but there can be quite a bit of traffic in the afternoon.

Heading east towards Dunkirk is flatter although less picturesque. There is (assuming it's still open) a very nice restaurant at Calais airport.
