Whilst I was in Dundee yesterday, someone drove past in a Corvette Stingray; one of my favorite 'wish for' cars back when I were lad - !

Looking at the original image, it's a 'Twin Cam' badge (truthfully required, I have no idea!)

You can even buy a 'brand new' Escort made with exact replica panels*, there are a few companies offer these (even Gordon Murray has one) but genuine 1500cc twin cam motors are thin on the ground so a lot use modern engines (the 2.5 litre TC is commonly used) but be prepared to pay £60,000 plus for one depending on spec

* Even complete 'faithful bodyshells' can be built from pressings made by the original tooling.

And even more money!!

I actually knew Roger Clark, not well, but when I owned a house on Huncote Rd in Narborough Roger Clark Cars was on the corner of the road and the old A46 but that was run by his brother Stan whilst Roger ran a boat building company on a nearby industrial estate and they built offshore powerboats. Every now and then they'd be in one of my local drinking haunts 'The Four Seasons Motel' with some of their workers and also worked for a while at Clarks of Narborough the garage set up by his Father with at the rear the bungalow his family lived in (and where his Mother still lived) so saw him quite regularly. Quite a cheerful chatty bloke.

This popped up on my feed last night and whilst it may not be a true classic due to it being a resto mod, you can't deny this is a stunning build.
