I do like a big, quick, petrol vert of more than 4 cylinders. A few days ago was looking wistfully at an ad for a DB7 vert and almost went for it.

A former boss bought a DB7 (or something along those lines) as a share with a friend and colleague. They both have somewhat more sensible cars so can each have enough use out of it whilst sharing the likely considerable running costs. Doubt it was terrifically expensive to buy.

Test drove a fixed head version of one of these. It was big unwieldy and not much fun; bought a 3.0 V6 166 instead.

Two pics today, one from the car, one from the pavement. I think the first is an Austin 7 special.

I love those early Insights. They have a bitmof a culture worldwide following, there are folk out there who upgrade the batteries and all sorts.

Seen quite a few but no so many of the them recently.

They look a bit like the early CRX's

I could be wrong - im no Jaaaaag expert - but that looks more like a conversion than a factory vert. The hood at the rear lower corner of the rear side windscreen looks wrong for a factory car, although it could be a factory car that's had a non-original replacenent hood.
